Jessica's Closet

This special cabinet is always stocked always stocked with terrific toys for every age. Though the cabinet stays locked, a key is kept by the bursing and Child Life staff at all times. This way any child who can use a "lift" may select something from the closet and it is theirs to keep. The closet was named for a very specials young friend - we know Jess would approve.

Food Pantry

We supply a selection of soups, cereals, microwave pastas, popcorn, crackers, juice boxes, cookies, and more. This program was designed for families facing an extended stay in the Oncology Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or the Pediatric Burn Unit.

Food Vouchers

We created a food voucher program so a mom or dad in need can have dinner at the hospitalcafe at no charge. The vouchers are given upon the referral of the Social Work team, Child Life Department, Doctors, and Nursing staff.

Big Boo-Boo's (Emergency Room Support)

We supply Emergency Room Staff with distraction toys, activities, stickers and lots of rewards for brave young patients. It is a well known fact that a "Dora the Explorer" band-aid helps make little hurts feel much better!

My Comfort Zone

This program offers an opportunity for an individual or donorgroup to sponsor the wish list of a child who will be in isolation for 4 - 10 weeks. It's especially meaningful for children facing the ordeal of a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.

Sunday Brunch

On the last Sunday of every month, we treat patients, families, and staff to a delightful, relaxing brunch in the family lounge at the Phyllis an dDavid Komansky Center for Children's Health at Weill-Cornell/NY Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. You'd be amazed at what a difference a bagel and cream cheese can make towards giving spirits a lift!

Seasonal Decorations

Our colorful decorations add cheer to every unit in the hospital. We change them for every season and holiday, bringing cheer to patients and staff.
